Ready for the Rally

Miles today: 308.3 (727.2 so far)
Hours in the saddle: 6:25 (17:34 so far)
Theme music: Bladerunner radio, Tartanic, Sireena
We got our asses on the road at 9:15, an unprecedented miracle. Long way to go today! We deigned to ride the interstate for some brief interludes in order to take a route thru the Catskills and still get to Woodstock, VT at a decent hour.
We had mid-week brunch at Denny’s, and not Panera, since we are on the Tigers and not the BMWs. Ordered our usual gender abnormative sweet & savory dishes — and our server delivered them to the correct people for maybe the first time?
Weather was absolutely gorgeous today. In fact, it got down to 72 in the mountains and Jaron turned his handwarmers on. It was in the upper 80’s and maybe as high as 91 according to the thermometer on my bike, but not for long.
Not a lot to report today. Just a lot of pretty backroads and perfect weather. We rode for some pretty long stretches, as much as 1:50 if you believe google timeline.
We checked in at our rally at about 6:00 and got our bearings. It’ll be an early morning tomorrow. We have a group ride at 7:30 in the morning.
We found a nice spot for dinner in Woodstock, VT. I sent a GPS beacon message. There is 1 bar of service in town and 0 where the rally is. ☺️
